A two-month artistic residency in Atibaia, bringing artists and researchers together to explore relationships between place, memory and soundscape.
Cartografias do Possível was an artistic residency held on a rural property near Atibaia in March and April 2024. Six artists from different disciplines — visual arts, music, photography and writing — lived and worked together for eight weeks.
The project began with a question: how does a place speak? And how do we learn to listen?
Each resident developed an original work from the immersive experience: walks, conversations with local residents and recordings of the forest, rain and animals. The process resulted in a collective publication and a traveling exhibition shown in three cities.
