Organization
A curated home for projects.
Juca Maria – Culture, Art and Education connects, produces and hosts cultural and educational projects. We support each project's authorship, creating the conditions for projects to exist and flourish.
Who we are
What is Juca Maria?
We are a member-led cultural organization serving the public. We are not an aid organization, a school or an informal collective. We provide a home for artists, educators, technologists and researchers developing projects across Brazil.
Our work takes shape through artistic residencies, workshops, creative labs, community initiatives, local partnerships, cultural production and the sharing of creative work.
We see art not as entertainment, but as a tool for reshaping human experience.
Mission
Why we exist
To create experiences in art, culture and technology that strengthen autonomy, belonging and a sense of dignity for people and communities.
“Creating is a way of belonging. Every territory develops its own language.”
Approach
How we work
Lab
Prototype, experiment and learn from mistakes. We create spaces where trying is the method — not failure. Uncertainty is part of the process.
Residency
Time, immersion and collective creation. When a process has room to unfold, it transforms the participants — and what they create.
Sharing our work
Sharing with local communities through exhibitions, gatherings and publications. What we create needs to reach those who were not part of the process.

Accountability
Transparency
Organizational documents, activity reports and financial statements will be made available here as they are produced. Transparency is more than a bureaucratic obligation — it is a way to respect those who believe in our work.
Documents are being prepared. This section will be updated soon.
